NEK FARMS

We are saddened that we have to include this page, but want to acknowledge the short life of NEK UNEXPECTED PLEASURE aka "Gidget." and NEK BUCKS OWN ELFIN MAGIC.

Gidget was born on June 16, 2008.  A line backed silver grulla out of WHITE'S ISABELLA by FAIRWAY FARMS STARFIRE.  She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 18, 2008.  She had a profund impact on those of us involved in her short life.  She tried valiently but despite our efforts and those of our fabulous veterinarian, she lost her battle.  To Gidget. We miss you and we'll always remember you.

Our beautiful little buckskin mare, Nuffin, suffered an unrecoverable dystocia during her delivery a few weeks later.  Bred to WeeOkies Treasure Lode, we were looking forward to this little buckskin filly for months and were deeply saddened by this unfortunate outcome.
